On the other side of the street I knew, stood a girl who looked like you …
She went down in an airplane, Fried getting suntan,
Fell in a cement mixer full of quicksand, Help me, help me, I’m no good at
goodbyes!
Well, as you can guess, Train’s concert in Dubai this
Easter, was amazing, more than words can say. A few years ago, we’d said that
it’d be fabulous to see them in concert and sure enough, tickets were on sale
and my mum treated us to such awesomeness.
From the minute they came on stage to the minute the
concert finished, they had the crowd singing, joining in and smiling all the
way through.
I’ll open up and be your parachute, I’ll never let
you down … yes, I know quite a few of their lyrics and so, my mum, brother and
me were some of the many who sung along to Pat Monahan singing, Jimmy Stafford
as backing vocals and Scott Underwood on drums.
As we
listened to Train and sung our hearts out, we gazed around to admire the
amazing setting too. The Dubai Amphitheatre was located in Dubai Media City,
and magnificent buildings towered above us, lit up in the night sky.
Such a
fascinating location to see one of our favourite bands, and what’s more, it was
not a ‘Drive-by’!
